Ken Ash Day!
FUN TRIVIA MOMENT:
On this day, July 27th 1930, Ken Ash of the Cincinnati Reds came in to pitch relief with two men on and nobody out. Ash’s first pitch to Charlie Grimm of the Chicago Cubs resulted in a triple play. In the bottom of the inning, Ash was pulled for a pinch hitter and the Reds rallied to a 6-5 win. That made Ash the pitcher of record, with a one-pitch victory!
