Ladies and gentlemen of Halos Heaven, I come to you from AZSnakePit.com with a proposition. We each have one player listed on the Final Man ballot for the All-Star game and I know you're voting as vigorously for Chone Figgins as we are for Mark Reynolds. But if you're like us, you probably don't have a massive interest in the ballot for the other league.
So I offer you a suggestion: vote for our man, Mark Reynolds, and I will instruct the masses of the SnakePit nation to add Chone Figgins to their ballot. Figgins and Reynolds: the '09 Dream Ticket. I believe our announcers have already contacted your guys to the same end, so let's get this done from the ground up too, and see both of these thoroughly deserving candidates in the game next week.

There’s only one AL player mentioned at the top of the homepage. But now you mention it, there appear to be some shenanigans on the Angels end…

I know that at face value it would never fly, I mean the A’s hate us and vice verse, but they would have the opportunity to jam their crosstown rivals, and keep a doyer from the ASG, just a little payback for 88’. Food for thought.

Didn’t Reynolds have Nicky’s number on his hat the day after it happened. I think I remember seeing video of that on MLB Network.

I don’t know about you, but it’s been a real blast: we’ve had a lot of fun with the whole thing. The voting’s now over, but win or lose, we appreciate the support you gave our guy, and fingers crossed at least one of them will make it to the game. I’ll also be pulling for the Angels the rest of the way as my proxy American League team. Hope to see you in the World Series some time [though probably not 2009…]

That’s all I have to say. I voted for Victorino at first before looking at this Fanpost two days ago.
At least I’m cool with Inge’s selection. It’s not Uggl- I mean Kinsler.
sigh Tough Luck for Figgins and Reynolds.
But it was a lesson in collaboration and unity.
