Schoeneweis leaves the Dbacks
Hello again, Halos fans. Haven't seen you folks since the Reynolds/Figgy campaign. I just thought you might want to know that former Angel Scott Schoeneweis is taking an indefinite leave of absence from the team. Since the Dbacks aren't in contention, they've kept him on the roster despite lousy performance of late after his wife passed away, but now he's off on his own accord.
Thought you'd wanna know, since I know plenty of you are still fond of Scott.

One can only speculate
Scott lost his wife suddenly, unexpectedly earlier this year and the autopsy results have reportedly been sealed. Here is to hoping Scott finds a way to manage the trauma.
Not sealed
The family is seeking to have them sealed, but a Superior Court judge earlier refused. the family is appealing.
The judge who heard the inital arguments couldn’t find a reason why the family’s wishes were more important than the public interest.

Although Scott's departure from the Angels
and some of his subsequent comments may have left a bitter taste in many an Angel’s fan mouth, I don’t think any of us would wish what he’s had to endure this year on even our worst enemy.
Our prayers and thoughts will be with you Scott.
Poor guy.
if I lost my wife, I don’t think I could get off the couch, let alone try to work.
Tell your statistics to shut up
Update.
So officially, he’s going on the 15-day DL for depression, presumably for the rest of the season. That way, he’ll still get paid.

Wishing him the best.
With the exception of being a MLB player, the dude has had it rough in life.
In Remembrance of Nick Adenhart, Courtney Stewart, Henry Pearson. Heal soon Jon Wilhite.
I want Andrew Thomas Gallo to be a pinata, and the Angels supply the bats...
Oh, and W6G.
I still can't believe this guy is still in baseball
I can’t believe he’s still in the league in any way, shape, or form. even more than Percy (who still is, but just technically).
but anyway best wishes to him.
