So? It still demonstrates he can come through in the clutch.
In terms of small sample size, judging by one AB is just as meaningful as judging by the grand total of 70ish spaced out PA’s Willits has had this season. Since he can come through in the clutch, and this isn’t the playoffs, there is no reason to interrupt Juan’s day off when we have a 5 game lead. Keep Juan healthy, leave Reggie in.

that was 100% catchable. Willits played it AWFULLY. He was there in time, and had no idea where the wall was, and played it like it was a homer. He looked shocked when it hit the wall at catchable height.

That's an ERA of 7
I’ll cut the kid some slack and give him another start but that isn’t excellent.
He almost never gives up HRs
but gave up two to one guy today. He will bounce back. He threw a ton of strikes, very few balls. He had 4 Ks and his only walk was after GMJ’s error rattled him. I think he will be great for us.

Here is a weird one
Dodger stadium is playing Journey’s Don’t Stop Believin’ (which I cannot stand but okay some people dig it, whatever) late in the game before their 8th inning As, sort of a rally song, right? They’re behind late , don’t stop believin’, okay, lyrics on the jumbo board, okay fine but then I am at another Dodger game and they are comfortably ahead in the late innings and they play it at the exact same part of the game. Stooooooooopid.
What should happen
is that in the middle of that song, Dodger Stadium should just cease to exist, like the final episode of the Sopranos.

Slow roller to deep SS on 3B side
SS had no play anywhere but at 3B, which was not realistic either, and the throw was wide of the bag so Aybar also came home to score.
Honestly, though, I still do not understand how this team scores 7-9 runs every game.

We were deep in the Ozarks, with Mr opiejeanne’s idiot cousin, Bob. Bob is a lot like Forest Gump, but without the charm. We were preoccupied with babysitting him, so our joy was a bit muted until we returned to California.

This bullpen makes me nervous, though. Offensively, this team can be better but has some dead spots. Seems that the 2002 version was “on” all the time, offensively.

Alright.
His pitching was pretty good. He just needs to get accustomed to the majors. I think he’ll be great once he gets into a rhythm.
His Fastball clocked 92-95 MPH and he had good location on his slider.

The La times coverage was horribly biased and Jackie Autry insisted we were a small market team. Fernando mania and the multiple Dodger World Series victories didn’t help the Angels’ case for relevance either.
