Angels looking for Relievers
Heath Bell has been waived, but may not be traded to anyone, but there is also a chance we pick up Francisco Cordero.

Was just about to post this
Claim Bell immediately and work something out with San Diego.
That would instantly fix all out bullpen problems.
I brought sexy back, but they only gave me store credit....
sadly, I think the chance we get him is
10 to 20%

It doesn't work like that
Figure the Rangers to claim Bell before he ever gets to the Angels.
If a deal can’t be worked out, then it’s over. No Bell for the Angels, one way or the other.

The Reds haven't even put Cordero on waivers have they?
I don’t see why they are saying we should go after Cordero when he hasn’t even been put on waivers. Plus, just like Bell, he’s too good to not get picked up by someone else before it’s our turn.
This season is my best chance to get called out of the stands to pitch.
$$$
The difference is that Cordero makes around $12 million a year, whereas Bell probably comes in under $1 million. Any team that puts in a claim on Cordero is potentially on the hook for the rest of his contract (I think he has 2 more years). It might not be a sticking point for teams in contention, but it could be (Dodgers & Rangers probably can’t afford him, for example).
It’s irrelevant, of course, if the Reds haven’t even put him on waivers.
