No team has that!

Just think if Shields and Dondo were themselves this year...

Or Adenhart didn’t meet that awful fate…

Or Saunders didn’t have shoulder trouble…

And Santana was right all year….

Or imagine, if you will, this offense with last years pitching…

110 wins? 115 wins? Maybe….

Good for them – this is fun to watch and witness….

RIP Nick...

THIS IS ANAHEIM!!!!

Angel home runs will blot out the sun. They will field in the shade.

300 right?

Oh you meant batting average. That’s cool, I guess. If you’re into that.

.300

The decimal point gives it away :)

I ran around the office and dialed Gameday up on all the flatscreens.

Just to point out our beautiful black swan in Cleveland to the amused baseball enthusiasts in the office.

+1

Angel Pitching, Angel Defense - get past that.

i think it's great that one of the guys tied for the top...

average is batting 9TH! that’s a soth thing that he discovered by accident by putting ak at the bottom of the order a few years back and you don’t see other teams w/the sack to bat a top stick in the 9 hole or 8 if it’s the nl

by thejd on Aug 18, 2009 8:52 PM PDT reply actions   0 recs

Its amazing

Four players are hitting, nearly six, are hitting over .310!

That’s epic.

by TheAntiSox on Aug 18, 2009 11:42 PM PDT reply actions   0 recs

I heard that during the game

I’m willing to bet it’s never been done before this late in the season with at least 200 + at bats by every player.

Angel Pitching, Angel Defense - get past that.

this apparently did not go over well at LSB

some guy posted this in their game thread and got railed. most clever response? “9-3”….these guys hate us badly.

I seem to recall

responses of “8-1” to the chowds during the regular season last year. Let’s not get too full of ourselves. There’s still a crapload of baseball to be played.

red

i was definitely the last person to gloat about going 8-1 against the red sox during the regular season. i think this could be the year we beat them.

According to the LA times...

[link]

“According to the Elias Sports Bureau, it’s the first time since 1934 that any major league team has finished a game at least 100 games into a season with each player in its starting lineup hitting .300 or better.”

WAIT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

TREVOR BELL WAS ALSO BATTING .333!!!!!

WHEN WAS THE LAST TIME A TEAM HAD A LINEUP OF .300 HITTERS WITH A STARTING PITCHER ALSO OVER .300?

Put Kendry Morales at 1B, and move Sean Rodriguez to 3B......NOW LETS GO WIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

by acuda27 on Aug 19, 2009 1:27 PM PDT reply actions   0 recs

OOOPS......Never Mind its OOOO"Sullivan that is batting .333 what was I thinking!

Well if the angels continue this and he goes on the mound will that be the first time in MLB history that a lineup card including the SP was batting .300 or better?

Put Kendry Morales at 1B, and move Sean Rodriguez to 3B......NOW LETS GO WIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
