So, post A.S.
every hitter in our lineup has a ‘respectable’ OPS.
And our entire bullpen, sans Fuentes, has been pretty damn good.
And 3/5ths of our new rotation has respectable-to-good ERAs.
Sounds to me like a deep playoff team.

it's looking good
Now that they truly have 5 major league starters, the bullpen should get some rest too.

except Juan
What is going on with him?
That'll only happen if that one prospect is the second coming of Christ and redemption for mankind can only be achieved by smacking many balls out of the yard.

Dude is getting outdone by Matthews
who, for all the shit we give him, is actually showing himself to be a completely serviceable, and quite solid, 4th outfielder recently.

did you read the article about Naps and Mathis...
Naps totally making fun of Mathis about batting 200….hilarious.

Link? Would love to laugh at that sorry sap of a man Mathis.
First we had a Salmon and now we have a Trout, let's see the same results.

Rivera
Frankly, I’m shocked that his OPS is that low, not that it’s horrible. It just seems as though he has been more productive. He’s never been an on-base machine, so maybe that’s holding him back a bit. Curious what his SLG% is in since the ASB.
He was hitting some rockets in Toronto
that didn’t fall. Then he truly hit a cold spell after that.
.459 slugging since the break.

Post AS break OPS
Rivera – .772
Matthews – .745
Slugging
Rivera hasn’t hit the ball as hard, but his slugging percentage [.459] is considerably better than Matthews [.385].
On-base
I’m surprised Matthews has actually gotten on-base at a .360 clip however and Rivera is more of a ‘contact first’ kind of guy.
Or is Kendry perhaps the one who needs to sit?
