That seemed, I don't know...slightly unnecessary? Also, if I were a cop I'd be so nervous about tasering an old fat dude...you kill him and you're kind of screwed.
Whatever dude.
This happens far more than is being reported, people dying from being tasered due to heart failure.
It really amounts to being legally tortured to death with repeated use on the victim. Taser manufacturers spend a fortune to cover up this fact and keep the use of tasers legal and “safe.”
Hey la, hey, Halo...
Not at all false.
http://csclm.org/tasers/Tasers_The_debate_goes_on.shtml
The most prominent theories of death are ventricular fibrillation and excited delirium.
The electronic shock given by the Taser can cause dysrhythmia, or heartbeat irregularities such as ventricular fibrillation, which in extreme situations can lead to death.
In other cases, the shock can exacerbate the effects of substances such as drugs inside the human body, a phenomenon called excited delirium. Thus far, the American medical community has not accepted the existence of this condition, but evidence is accumulating to indicate that substances in the body may react to extreme force, such as the electronic shock from a Taser, resulting in a stopped heart.
The sad thing of all this is people are suffering death from being tased while research is still being done to determine the safety of using the many taser devices on the market in the U.S. Ironically, the government will not allow a new light bulb on the market without being UL tested so it will not burn your house down, or the gas tank in a new model automobile tested to make sure it will not explode in a crash.
Hey la, hey, Halo...
you say it happens more than it's being reported
then offer no evidence supporting this statement. You then link me to a blog article that offers no citations to support any of their claims. They even state that there is no conclusive evidence from studies to support any of their theories and that people under the influence might be less at risk to dysrhythmia from a tasing. So, when you say not false at all, I have to laugh.
Excited delirium isn’t a valid medical term either. It’s actually used to describe deaths while in custody, now it’s being lumped in with taser deaths.
I don’t think there is some cover up or conspiracy which you are suggesting.
I also don’t believe people are being legally tortured to death when they are tasered.

I could fill several more pages with court cases and news articles of events that document
what I have stated, but no one would read them anyway, and they would not change your mind since it is made up. I have already spent far more time on you than you are worth. I tried to provide an unbiased article that shows both sides of the debate than a biased one that only supports my view. There is plenty of examples on this subject on the internet if anyone is interested to find more information on the subject which obviously you are not.
Hey la, hey, Halo...
LOL!
So tasering young skinny dudes and killing them isn’t a problem? ;)
I love this team.

My friend's brother is an MMA fighter
and was nearly tasered to death by the cops a few years ago. He suffered a heart attack and was in the hospital for a while recovering from it.
NA 34
Sounds like your friend was fighting the cops
and is lucky he didn’t get shot! MMA fighter versus a cop…Taser seems real appropriate!

lol..yeah, I hear ya. And you're right; something could go horribly wrong in either case, but one seems to have a higher probability than the other.
Whatever dude.

Although they have different settings on those things right? I guess they'd probably use a different amount of voltage/power/whatever depending on the person.
Whatever dude.

Uh...
no. Same settings. 50,000 Volts always is the number that gets peoples attention with Tasers, but don’t be fooled, it’s the amps that will kill you and they are very low.

I hate these type of videos because thay don't show full context.
1) The police aren’t typically summoned unless the stadium ushers are unable to handle the problem. We don’t see any prior interaction in this video clip.
2) We have no idea how much resistance he gave to the ushers, how much of a bother he was to other fans, and so on. For all we know, the “tazee” could have been cordial or he could have assaulted other fans. You wouldn’t know from this clip.
3)The audio doesn’t pick-up the verbal exchange with the officers. Again, we don’t know these crucial details to make any kind of judgment.
Finally, my son has been a police officer for 2 1/2 years. He had used his tazer once. For every use, his department requires they fill out a lengthy report that is supplemental to a standard incident report. Generally, police don’t use these weapons unless they believe there really are no better choices.
They don’t like writing up these “after action” reports. I am not sure of the procedures of the Oakland PD, nor do I know the tendencies of their officers. Without any further facts to provide these details, I wouldn’t make a judgment one way or the other.
I don't know...
at 3:27 the guy recording it said, “he was egging them on,” and he clearly was not complying with the cops. Cops don’t usually just mess with someone for no reason. Someone probably asked them to come over and handle the situation.
Tasers are a lot better than the alternatives of getting a baton to the body or a gun shot. They save more lives than they take.

at least they didn't cuff him, lay him on his stomach, and then shoot him in the back
nothing wrong with catching a tasing or beating for acting like a tough guy … but I draw the line at shooting a cuffed suspect.

Oh yeah...the BART thing? That was pretty bad.
Whatever dude.

you say victim, i say suspect
Also, the guy in this video was not electrocuted.
Electrocution = death via electric shock.
That guy didn’t want to move, he’s either going to take a beating via stick or get tased.
Do they even use pepper spray anymore? Shit probably causes cancer and is a danger to someone with diminished lung capacity or asthma.
