Torii Hunter HR is Difference for Kaz and Angels
Final Score in Anaheim: Angels 3, Chicago White Sox 2
Scott Kazmir threw 120 pitches, but only allowed 2 ER in his 6 IP. The Angels bats held up their end of the bargain, with Maicer Izturis scoring a run early and driving one in the person of Howie Kendrick later on. Knotted at 2 at the 7th inning stretch, Torii Hunter led the bottom of the inning off with a solo Homer and it stood, making a winner of reliever Darren Oliver. Kevin Jepsen got 4 outs and Brian Fuentes got his 41st Save.
Izturis was filling in for a slumping Chone Figgins and did fine at 3B with the glove. Kazmir suffered from Weaveritis throughout the game, allowing more foul balls to extend innings and yet managing to sneak around the ever-present baserunners. He allowed 7 hits in 6 IP, 2 ER, struck out 2 and walked 3. He demonstrated to the Halo faithful that even when he doesn't have his best stuff he is still a battler. Kazmir remains winless as an Angel in 3 starts.

Btw How Great was that USC-OSU Game Yesterday
Even if you’re not a Trojan Fan you have to appreciate a great Football Game when you see one.
Also, for all the UCLA fans out there, good job beating an SEC team, I always love watching a Pac-10 team take down the dreaded SEC.
Go Angels!!!
Hopefully Seattle can help us out today :)
2009 Angels Season: Let's Do This For Nick
college sports = slave labor
scholarship value >$100K and actually costs university nothing to have extra bodies in classroom, meanwhile profit margin for schools and slavery commission (NCAA) is quintuple what it is for any pro league.
SoCal football at its finest.
UCLA’s D is sick this year.

Not much offense today so that was huge.
NICE--Do you have a larger version of that pic?
I’d like to read the text…though I imagine it’s pretty similar to what Ersty wrote in his ad in the LA Times after 2006 when he joined the ChiSox?

Our 7th visit to the Big A this season
My wife surprised me with tickets this morning and the Angels are a perfect 7-7 when we go to a game.
Maybe we should go more often…. :-)
God needed a starter. RIP #34

Plus
Apparently next weekend is “Red-Out” weekend in Arlington, according to the KRLD feed. Rangers fans are encouraged to wear red.
So when the Angels take the field this weekend, they will be presented with the sight of an entire stadium wearing the Angels’ colors.
I’ve heard a lot of good things about Texas hospitality, but this is really above and beyond! It’s like Miracle on 34th Street!
You would think the team would think stuff like this through.
I guess all you can do is shake your head and laugh.

Yeah, what were they thinking?
As far as I have seen, it’s been years since red was their main uniform color, and even now the red unis are alternates, aren’t they?
They are.
You would think a “blue-out” day would make more sense. But who do I think I am injecting logic into their thinking.

Tip of the Hat to Mariners' manager Don Wakamatsu
Though the Ms had a 5-0 lead in the 8th, Don didn’t mess around. He brought in his top set-up man Mark Lowe. And even in a non-save situation in the 9th he had ace closer Aardsma finish up the game. So thanks Don for not taking any chances.

Welcome to the NFC North cutler.
GB’s O-line is going to be a problem all season, but at least Rodgers grew up at the right time. Our WR’s were dropping some balls tho, funny because they are all usually clutch. And did you see our D? We actually starting blitzing and got inside of Crybaby Cutlers head. Its going to be a good season…

First Game Question Mark
is GB O-Line that bad, or is the George Halas Transvestite Defense that good?
Never bet NFL until week 5
Barbre might be out of a job soon.
