Some "underrated" love for Desmond and Kowbell from SI
Since there was no Tuesday Halo Links today, I thought I would point HH's attention to the fact that Sports Illustrated's Ted Keith has been paying attention to the Angels. Two Halos make his list of the most underrated players in the major leagues: Our 1B Kendry Morales and our speedy 3B Chone Figgins. ....
Nice to see that some of the national media are keeping an eye on our boys in red. Sorry if this has already been posted elsewhere.
(Explicit content alert): The evil AJ Pierzynski also makes the list at catcher. Cheers, highland

Tim Brown from Yahoo Sports
has an article here saying Scioscia is his choice for AL Manager of the Year
We're putting the band back togehter.
Interesting article...
although his three peers disagree with him.
I love this team.

But only Edes completely misses the Soth.
The others have him on their lists, just not at the top.

Yeah. But the crocodile tears for Girardi are just beyond the pale.
We don't have a Bullpen. We have a Cowpen. Before we get to call it a Bullpen these guys gotta grow a pair.
I like Tim Brown
it seems like he actually pays attention to our team and he has no east coast bias. west coast bias, if anything.
Angels 2009 WS Champs
Willie Gault FTW!
Don’t ever forget James Jett, either.
I love this team.

I liked James Jett
I was always fascinated with guys who NFL teams plucked off a track and taught how to catch a football. It’s like those Indian javelin throwers in the Pirates system or that African dude Kevin Bacon recruited for his college team in a delightful, quirky romp for the whole family about two cultures that are worlds apart but ultimately value the same things in life.

Here is some praise for K-Mo from Joe Morgan
D-Rath (Boston)
Is Mauer the AL MVP?
Joe Morgan (11:21 AM)
It depends on how you look at the vote. Mauer definitely should be at the top of any list. But also at the top of the list should be Teixera, Jeter. One of the guys that gets no credit is Kendry Morales with the Angels. When all those guys went down, he was the guy that supplied the power and run production. He should also be in that mix.

Or is Kendry perhaps the one who needs to sit?
Wooo! Re-hire Joe Morgan! Just for that!
RIP Nick Adenhart.

Don't be fooled by the glimmer of wisdom
I’m sure Joe’s next topic was a mind-numbing treatise on why Wins is the most important pitching stat
