It's fair to criticize Fuentes
Even though he should have gotten the K and escaped the inning, he did look bad again. He threw 6 straight balls at one point, and if not for two great defensive stops by Aybar and Figgy, the Sox would have tied it before Nick Green even got to the plate.
I dont think hes a bad closer but hes not legit :(

I think the larger evidence is that the Angels have no faith in Naps ability to block the plate.

but still think it appeared to be a strike on TV and an All-Star closer basically gets those calls. especially the god-awful check swing.
I freakin’ hate Fenway too. what’s with not having the side / reverse angle of the check swing showing the guy’s bat swept the entire plate? get with the damn program already, this is the bigs.

Going back to when Napoli was interfered with on the stolen base attempt by Boston. The 9th inning was just the end of a fine evening of fucking us.
Between gettting fucked, or or usual choke job, it was a brutal night.
It makes me realize once again what a miracle it was in ‘02. At least nobody’s trying to take that away from us… yet.
