I kind of agree.
That’s was something nice about the lineup without either of them in it back in July. They were all fairly patient guys. Rivera’s a hacker, but not in the same way as Abreu.

Not watching the game ... don't know the score...
but I tend to think that it was 2-0. Scioscia wanted to put his best pitcher in to hold the deficit where it was. Given there is an off-day tomorrow, it’s a good idea. But, Fuentes didn’t get the job done.
I am surprised that Scioscia did that … he normally strictly follows “closer, 9th inning, 3 outs max, 1, 2 or 3-run lead only” formula.
