Are you going to the playoffs?
Assuming that the Angels make the playoffs.... Got my tiix for Game 2. I'll be in 507 (unfortunately, it'll probably be in the middle of a bunch of chowds).

I think last year they released another block of tickets about a week after the initial offering.
There’s always StubHub, but the tickets I paid $53 apiece for were going for $159 each. Well, mine are in row E and those were in row G, so the StubHub ones aren’t quite as good.
THIS… IS… ANAHEIM!!

Good Luck!
Most tickets were snapped up around 10:30 a.m. this morning. If you are truly lucky, some pairs of tix may appear but even single tix are getting scarce already (for games 1 & 2)

I'm so sad I'll be in Mexico for games 1 and 2, but I think I'm back by game 3.
I’m also sad that going to any game against the Sox means dealing with drunk very loud obnoxious pink hats. To all those who are going: drown ’em out, make us proud!
Let's do this for Nick Adenhart, Courtney Stewart, and Henry Pearson.

I'm going to be a on a cruise ship and lucky to catch news of games 1 & 2 as they happen.
I’ll be happy to just be able to watch Game 3. I’m going to probably pay some $200 to LISTEN to the games over WiFi on my iPhone [Carnival’s WiFi rates are outrageous]. But it’s for my wife’s grandparents’ 50th wedding anniversary. And anyway, we’ll still have two more series after completing the sweep in game 3, right?
Let's do this for Nick Adenhart, Courtney Stewart, and Henry Pearson.

Carnival is charging for WIFI? You may be able to get them to comp it for you if you call and whine long enough.
I’ve done that with two hotels, but then I had the option of taking my business across the street which you can’t very well do.
The other thing you can do is use the computer room on board if it’s free (most cruise lines have that).
You will probably have a tv in your cabin that will give news updates, and maybe even have a sports channel.
THIS… IS… ANAHEIM!!
by opiejeanne on Sep 22, 2009 5:37 PM PDT up reply actions 0 recs
They charge BY THE MINUTE, and from what I hear it is spotty service at that.
I’ve never been on a cruise, so I didn’t think of the TV, but that would be nice.

By the minute?
I’ve been on two cruises, one way back in 1995 when I was just barely online, and the other a couple of years ago was a Disney cruise. The Disney cruise was the better of the two. There was a computer room, but I don’t think we used it and I have the impression that it was free but I could be very wrong. My daughter was one of the entertainers and had access to WiFi but almost never used it that year. (No, we didn’t get a break on the price of the cruise.)

Wifi on the cruises are ridiculous
I would just hold off. Enjoy the cruise

If you go to cabo, while anchored there, i was able to connect to a hot-spot...
from the ship to the shore! Freebie! I was too cheap to pay the WiFi fees on-board. ;)
I love this team.

All the bars have TV’s on the ship and the game will be on the screen, no need for WIFI

wish i could go
but i live in delaware, and flights are too expensive (but would only go for ws tix).
went to the world series in 07 in boston (who wouldn’t pass on world series tickets if given the chance). They constantly played video from the yankees/red sox rivalry (including star wars music) – why? Is it that they are still scared of them? Plus their fans don’t wear their colors..

Game 2, Section 506, with two other Halo fans and one die-hard BoSux fan
Who’s actually from Boston…imagine that! Though perhaps relocated here for good?
This will be my second ALDS game ever…my last/first one ever was the 2006 game in which Oakland clinched against Minnesota—I could barely see anything over/under the cement overhang in that thing they call a stadium…but enough to see Torii at bat!
RIP Nick Adenhart.

Also, tix were surprisingly "cheap"
$21.00 apiece, which ends up at about $28.50/each after all the “service charges” and “convenience charges” Ticketmaster tacks on…

And plucked 4 section 426 row A seats off ticketmaster for game 1. Right on first base. Love sitting there.
Friend got tix in second 510 for game 2, and hey, at least those are cheap!

I always try to head down from Lake Isabella (anyone know where that is?) for a playoff game. Like I tell my wife, I don’t care where my seats are… I just need to get into the stadium.

Except how long it takes to get to Angel Stadium. I tend to make it down for 8-10 games a season. Thank goodness for family living in OC. What hike did you go on?

Yeah I really liked it up there.
We did the Forks of the Kern. Backpacked in about 8 miles (had to stop just before Kern Flat. It was the first week of August which was just terrible planning.) and spent four days fishing the river. It was glorious (other than the heat).
