Around SBN: Dissecting Nick Diaz's Positive Drug Test

Watching the Sox vs. Yanks right now and John Lester just took a line drive off off the knee cap. Limped off the field.

man did it look bad

the worst was the shot of him walking down the dugout steps. This changes Boston’s postseason if Lester is not pitching at 100%…

Not to mention the 10 replays they showed.

YES showed it over and over. OUCH

This team is our extended family, That's why we love them no matter what the record, no matter what the score.

Just saw it. Ouch!

The ball ricocheted straight back off his knee. Looked like it hit him flush. I want to beat up on the Sawx, but I hate seeing players get hurt….

i'm not too upset about that

at all.

Thank you, Nick Adenhart. You will always be remembered. #34

especially with TBS calling the game

eff them, man.

i STILL get pissed off thinking about some of the crap they pulled during last year’s playoffs.

Thank you, Nick Adenhart. You will always be remembered. #34

The clapping in the booth?

I brought sexy back, but they only gave me store credit....

Yeah

The Red Sox staged a comeback at one point, hitting a home run.

The Bostonian in the booth very audibly clapped while the batter trotted around the bases. There was no mistaking it was him.

Wow

Can’t believe I don’t remember that. Asswipes.

GREAT

If we do beat Boston in the ALDS, now everybody will just say we won because Lester wasn’t 100%.

It would be nice to beat Boston without any lame excuses like that.

by TheAntiSox on Sep 25, 2009 5:30 PM PDT reply actions

Screw them

We had plenty of excuses in 2007, but no one cared.

But I do agree with you, it would be sweeter if they had no excuses

Yeah. It's not like it is pink-eye or anything.

Damn. This brought back a 1986 flashback.

I recall Roger Clemens taking a very nasty line drive off of his pitching elbow just before the 1986 playoffs. Didn’t affect Clemens that much. He did get knocked around in Game 1 but pitched excellently in Game 4 and Game 7.

Injuries -- no injuries

part of the game folks. Th only way I feel bad is if Lester is my father or my son and he’s neither. If can pitch, fine. Bring it on. If not, there’s no crying in baseball

I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.

It was an instant reaction to something very dramatic happening in a game watched on TV.

I don’t think this is a case of reporting on Boston injuries.

Let's do this for Nick Adenhart, Courtney Stewart, and Henry Pearson.

As the poster..

It was not because it was an injury to a Boston player. I f I had been a member last year and was watching live when Blackburn took that linedrive off the face I would have done the same thing.
