Big game tonight. US vs El Salvador, World Cup qualifier. The US really needs this win. If they win, they will most likely earn a berth to World Cup. According to Brandon Donovan, if they do not win at home against El Salvador then they don't deserve to make the World Cup.

i love soccer

which makes it very frustrating how mediocre our national team is. our touches are always sloppy and our players dont seem to have a feel for where each other are going to be.

jozy altidore, however, is the truth. him and charlie davies have some nice chemistry

the big knock

against the current squad and to a lesser degree in previous years, is they love to sit on leads / early goals, and simply think they can counterattack all day. it’s proven to be wrong repeatedly. the elite soccer nations never really do this. and I agree on the touches. though I haven’t really been watching nearly as much international soccer as in years past.

as I’m sure you know, the big knock against the current US squad and to a lesser degree in previous years, is they love to sit on leads / early goals, and simply think they can fall back and then counterattack all day rather than aggressively attack into the other team’s defense. it’s proven to be wrong repeatedly. the elite soccer nations never really do this. and I agree on the touches. though I haven’t really been watching nearly as much international soccer as in years past.

poor coaching

good talent, not in shape, reckless defensively, gives up way to many goals on sets because of reckless play and in big games we are always down a man.

Why did we not train in Colorado or just arrive in Mexico a week earlier? Besides training in Fl for only two days and arriving in Mexico a day earlier.

Finally, not good when your son plays on the team, this is a disaster waiting to happen if we qualify for the World Cup if Bradley stays.
