But, I don’t think he’s lying. Little by little everything he’s been saying has been getting confirmed. And this is despite the fact that he has a lot of enemies that want to completely discredit him.

Canseco is a douche...

but I didn’t buy a SINGLE THING that Mark McGwire was selling to us in his interview with Bob Costas. Such bullshit was that entire interview.

“Steroids didn’t help me to hit more home runs.”

HAHAHAH! And to think, prior to his admission of steroid use, I used to kind of feel sorry for Mark McGwire. What a fool I was.

I kind of used to a little feel sorry for him too

You know what pissed me off more than the steroids admission? They kept showing all those clips of McGwire basking in the crowd’s adoration with his self-aggrandizing hat-tips and blowing kisses and what not and I started to realize how insanely into himself this guy was. I never felt that way at the time because that shit was just crazy and everybody was sort of caught up in the moment. I think the fact that the clips had no sound compounded it so you just saw this hick acting like a frickin matador and no announcers to provide context.

I have no idea if what I just wrote makes any sense

But, I know exactly what you mean and I felt the same way. That was an exciting summer for baseball and yet looking back, it was just a big drug-fueled show.

Ok. So Canseco is a douche.

But if you are a believer in full disclosure, as I am, then he is our douche.

I find it hilarious that McGwire is suddenly taking some sort of “high road” and being all noble and everything. Suddenly, McGwire is getting an immediate free pass by the press by having himself be quoted sounding morally just and dignified. Yikes.

Had I owned the Pittsburgh Pirates, I could have saved America.

Yeah, right, it’s out in the open. Your words don’t mean crap. There are more questions than answers in my opinion. If I were a Cardinals fan, I’d be calling Mickey Hatcher before I’d call Mark McGwire to coach my hitters. Big Mac should not be given a job in major league baseball. WWF anyone?
