Angels Helping With Haiti Relief Effort
NBC4 AND TELEMUNDO LOS ANGELES SPONSOR "HOPE FOR HAITI" -- "DRIVE-THROUGH" FUNDRAISERS ON JANUARY 15, 16 & 17TH
NBC4 and Telemundo Los Angeles are sponsoring "Hope For Haiti," three "drive-through" fundraising events which will raise money for the Haitian relief efforts of the American Red Cross and Operation USA. The events will take place January 15 - 17th. The stations are encouraging Southern Californians to drop off donations at "Hope for Haiti" locations in the Inland Empire, Pasadena and Orange County.
The first event will be held at the Autoclub Speedway in Fontana on Friday, January 15th from 6:30AM to 6:30PM. Saturday's event will be held at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena from 7:00AM to 7:00PM. Angel Stadium will host the "Hope for Haiti" fundraiser on Sunday from 9:00 AM to 5:00PM.
Donations can be made in the form of cash or checks. Checks should be made payable to the American Red Cross/Haiti Relief or Operation USA/Haiti Relief. Representatives from the two charitable organizations and the stations will be on hand to help collect the donations.
Joining our efforts are radio stations KFRG 95.1 FM, Exitos 93.9 FM and members of the Chivas USA soccer team. Donations can also be made online (LINK)

Danny Glover said the planet is angry and did this because of failure at the Copenhagen summit.

That’s not the “left,” that’s “left without a brain,” or something…
Glover’s comment is somehow worse because we expect Rush to say controversial and inane things, but Glover comes out of “left” field. He’s somewhat in alignment with Pat Robertson and the religious right saying that the Haitians are being punished for their sins (like being really poor, which of course is a sin in America…)
