Found this on the Uniwatch blog in an entry with "fauxback" designs. I kind of like it. You can see the rest here: http://www.uniwatchblog.com/2009/02/21/say-it-isnt-faux/
While I don't want a total uniform re-design any time soon (never?), what do you guys think of the cap as a road cap? I think it'd be a nice addition.

Looks ok
I just got a Cooperstown Edition Angels hat and its super sweet. Wouldn’t mind seeing the CA patch brought back. Love Uni watch, btw.
You are what you type.
im 100% in favor of the retro cap
and have been for a while. I think Arte prefers “his” all-red brand of the angels though
RIP Nick Adenhart
Red hat on player = ok
Red hat on fan = douchemonger
I’m in favor of the throwback cap.
What do you need a fancy suit for, Charlie, you ain't got no job to wear it to.
This is exactly how I think it should have been all along.
Current logo with the former color scheme. Perfect.
There are too many red teams, especially since Texas brought back their red alternates, which was a dick move.

I'd keep the home uniform the way it is
And incorporate the navy accessories on a new road uniform (cap, sweatshirt, stirrups with players required to show them) with an LA on the cap (like my avitar) and Los Angeles on the jersey. I don’t like names on the back because it symbolizes that the name on the front is the name that counts on the field. I think such a cap would sell big.
I don’t think they will put LA on it but I’m tired of hearing some announcers persist in Anaheim references (like Bob Uecker and one of the MLB Home Plate XM radio announcers announcing what channels the day’s games will be carried). And I’m tired of the Dodgers sloganeering with variations of “this is my place” which is a backhanded slap at the Angels for re-claiming their original name. If they have decided to be the LA Angels they have to assert themselves in their road uniform identification in my view rather than work overtime to avoid mentioning their chosen geographical name on broadcasts, print media, etc. At home they can continue to be strictly “The Angels,.” which is the English translation for “Los Angeles.”
I had no problem with their former names, but they made a decision to change.

I’m in favor of putting Los Angeles on the away jerseys, but I’d leave the A logo on the caps.
And I agree, if we’re gonna be the Los Angeles Angels, let’s be the Los Angeles Angels.
I agree that having the city name on away jerseys is sharp...
But our name is just too silly, and I think that would just add to the jokes. I say we hold off on the idea until there is only one city in our title.
Congratulations!
When I'm not at the stadium, I'd rather be watching my Halos back in Costa Rica!
