Mike Trout Heads Baseball America's Midwest League Prospect Rankings

Predictably, Baseball America's Jim Callis tagged Trout as the league's best prospect. Tyler Skaggs showed up at # 10 (we will miss him), Jean Segura at #12, and Fabio Martinez Mesa at #14. The Midwest League featured some very good prospects this year, so getting four guys in the top twenty is a feather in the Halos' (or, more accurately, Eddie Bane's) cap. Garrett Richards is conspicuously missing. So is Randal Grichuk. I thought that Luis Jimenez might also have a shot, but it's no surprise that he didn't make the cut.
