Team loses to eventual winner, Dominican Republic, in semi-finals, 7-2.  Trout had 1 of 6 hits for Team USA in loss.

Team finishes tied for 3rd place with Venezula as consolation game is canceled due to rain.  Trout named to All-Tournament team as Best Center fielder.  He hit .350, led the team with 3 home runs and SLG% .675, tied for team lead with 10 runs scored. He was one of the youngest players in the tournament.

An aside, the future could also be bright for the Royals.  Joining Trout on the All-Tournament team were Royal prospects, Eric Hosmer, Mike Moustakas and Mike Montgomery were selected as the top first baseman, third baseman and left-handed pitcher, respectively.
