The NY Times is reporting that the Angels are close to a deal w/ Hisanori Takahashi, a lefty that last played for the NY Mets. Interesting choice? Interesting, seems the Angels are looking to bolster up that 'pen. I'd be curious to see what role Scioscia would use him for, as we all know his reverence to pitching roles for his 'pen. Anyway, thoughts gang? I think I like this deal in a vacuum. I don't know about it being "THE" solution for the pen... LINK:
