POLL: Favorite Angels Baseball Broadcast Team

With the sudden and unfortunate death of the inimitable Rory Markas, and the firings of Steve Physioc and Rex Hudler, the Angels broadcast ranks dwindled to four last season: Victor Rojas, Mark Gubicza, Terry Smith, and Jose Mota.  This eclectic group has its supporters and detractors, but is this current crop the best on-air talent the Angels organization can deliver?

Maybe John Carpino can make his own "big splash” in the booth by bringing back Hud and teaming him with Victor Rojas.  Or, how about the return of the rotation – one pair of broadcasters for a series, then a different pair for the next, as the Angels did in 2009?

Some of us enjoyed Rex’s enthusiasm and his classic phrases “Pilot to Bombadier” and “You gotta hack or they’ll send you back.”  Other fans are content with Gubi’s clichés (“Gubiisms”) such as “he stayed within himself” and “changing eye levels,” not to mention Victor’s colorful home run references “Opo taco,” “big fly,” and “jimmy jack.”

But opinions vary widely about whom each of us would prefer to hear broadcasting Angels games.  Some comments have been made before here at HH, but they have been spread out in a number of threads that did not directly ask the question.  So, now’s your chance to make your preference known for the 2011 season.
