All Star Game Tickets for Season Seat Holders
Angels season ticket holders are getting the following offer from the team's ticket folks. Payment will be announced by Opening Day, payment is due before May. Take it or leave it, you get...
- The chance to buy a strip of tickets for each seat, except from some premium seats who get a chance to buy in relocated areas.
- No individual tickets are available - it is a strip of events including the All Star Game and Home Run Derby and some other events that you probably would not otherwise race out and buy a ticket for.
- Two tickets per seat to the MLB All-Star FanFest at the Anaheim Convention Center (4 season seats will net you 8 FanFest Tickets).
- One ticket per seat to the All-Star Sunday events on the Sunday prior to the All Star Game (July 11) at Angels Stadium: The All-Star Futures Game (aka the Minor League All Star Game) and the All-Star Legends & Celebrity Softball game (aka old jocks versus unfunny television stars and Billy Bob HasBeen).
- One ticket per seat to the July 12 All-Star Work-Out Day and Home Run Derby at Angels Stadium.
- One ticket per seat to the 81st Major League Baseball All-Star Game at Angels Stadium on July 13.
- Option to purchase additional FanFest tickets
- Option to purchase additional All-Star Sunday tickets.
- No option to purchase additional tickets to the Home Run Derby or All-Star Game.
- Pricing will reflect postseason pricing - expect to pay about 40% of your season seat cost per seat for the strip of tickets.

season seat holders will be re-sellig like crazy
it will be easier than you think… if you got the dough!
Don't forget the "if you got the dough!" part of the statement.
They’ll be available… but affordable? Looks like there will be some fire sales on July 11 tickets though.
Rest in peace, Rory. When I think of some of the greatest moments in my Angels fandom, I hear your voice describing them. Thanks for everything you gave us.
How awesome is it?
I’m glad I’ll at least be able to go to that, but I don’t know that much about it.
Well
I’ve never been to an ASG one, but I reckon it’ll be good for autographs and just a fun event to hang out at. There will be the traveling Cooperstown exhibit if you’re into that sort of thing.
I’m betting there will be some Angel greats on hand for autos.

came to the last Booster meeting.. Officially, he said that there will be NO SINGLE GAME tickets available for either the Home Run Derby or the All Star Game, so your only chance to get All Star Game tix or Home Run tix is thru Stubhub..
Expect to shell out your firstborn from the season seat holders that have them for sale..

As a season-seat holder who can't attend every game,
I use stubhub all the time to sell tickets, both to premium games (Yankees, Dodgers, Opening Day, etc.) and non-premium games (Royals, Orioles, etc.). I have 4 tickets and am going to be on my honeymoon during the ASG and am going to sell some of my seats to friends (at/near face) and some on stub hub. I agree that ticket prices will likely be expensive for the game, but they will get cheaper as time goes on. I’ve noticed that for premium games, the price tends to be very high at the beginning (currently, ASG on stubhub starts at $450, HR Derby at $300), and then as more people post tickets, they undercut eachother, and the price goes down, usually hitting it’s low around a week prior to the game (at usually 1.5-2.5 times face value), then the price goes up astronomically immediately prior to the game, often for 4-5 times face value.
Please don’t give me grief about the way I go about using my tickets, the intent of my post was to explain what I think the availability of tickets will be and the approximate pricing, albeit in a vague and speculative way.
Another note about stubhub, I am very mixed on using stubhub as a seller. I really enjoy the convenience, but I don’t like all the fees they take out (15% from the seller and they add 10% to the buyer for a total of 25%). When I have the time and effort and know I won’t be able to attend a game far in advance, I usually attempt to sell on Craigslist, where I can price them lower than what they sell for on Stub Hub and get more money overall for the tickets. It’s usually a win-win situation for both me and the buyer. The only issue with Craigslist is that some people can sell you bogus tickets or tickets that don’t scan, but I’m a firm believer in “What goes around comes around” for the dishonest folks.
great post
I don’t understand why anyone would give you grief. Do they expect you to actually SUFFER because you are an Angels fan by keeping your ticket below what the market will bear?

Billy Bob looks like death
And I’ve been putting money aside for months for this.
Sorry Seattle, 2010 still isn't your year.
He looks worse than that
I thought it was James Carville in that photo.

Hmmm...
Can i NOT purchase anything and still have a good time near/at/around the stadium?
What do you need a fancy suit for, Charlie, you ain't got no job to wear it to.
How woud you like to have your old Section 240's for the HR Derby Rev.
I can give a damn about going to the game. All I am hoping for is winning the lottery so I can take my two sons to the HR Derby.
When I'm not at the stadium, I'd rather be watching my Halos back in Costa Rica!
There is NO ticket lottery!!
There will be NO single tickets on sale for either the Home Run Derby or the All Star Game available to the general public..
The seats that are not sold to season seat holders will be given back to MLB for their use.
i think he literally means the lottery.
to pay the through-the-ass prices.

the irony here
is that Pattimelt is the only person in California who is a regular player of the California lottery who actually wins enough to profit from it.

I thought there was gonna be a lottery to the general public to purchase strips?
Just not one you were likely to get anything out of because of the limited amount of seats they would make available.
Kind of like how I got into the lottery for the World Series last year (had we made it) and wasn’t able to get squat despite the fact that I logged in at 10:00:01 and sales started at 10:00:00.

Having the game in Anaheim is exciting
I just hope there are some Halos playing in it
You can count Figgi out (as an Angel)
Idea! - Someone bumrush Sam from the OCR for his press pass!!!! ;)
Once you have it, turn it over to WiHaloFan or Rev. Wi/Rev grabs his laptop/desktop with Photoshop and other graphic design programs and a scanner, then hops in the car. Wi/Rev drives down to my place in San Diego. I live far out of the jurisdiction of the Anaheim PD, OC Sheriff and Tony Reagins, but still close enough to be used as a safehouse. Wi/Rev then produces limitless copies of Sam’s press pass for use by the HH community. When we’re done, we return Sam’s pass in an unmarked envelope. Then, we all get to go to the All Star Game!!!
Who wants to volunteer?
For the TL;DR crowd
1) Bumrush Sam from the OCR and take his press pass.
2) ?
3) We’re all goin to ASG 2010!!!!!
