Angels re-sign Q ..... LOL
I couldn't resist cuz I know how much so many of you dislike Robb Quinlan (but love his hot wife), but here it is on Plunkett's OCR Angels blog.... and he is linking from rallymonkeys.
Gonna go play catch with my son and laugh the whole time. My son's first response, "I remember when Q was Rookie of the month in the AL!" I am a Q fan...not sure I am a fan of the move, but hey... unconfirmed per the report.
The signing is unconfirmed by the Angels at this point. But Quinlan’s signing would affect the spring roster battles for bench spots. You have to assume Quinlan’s versatility and experience give him an edge over Freddy Sandoval for one spot, leaving only two spots (assuming an 11-man pitching staff) for Reggie Willits, Terry Evans or someone else.

Hopefully this is a precursor to a Shea Hillenbrand resigning.
I brought sexy back, but they only gave me store credit....
I would prefer Erstad over Shea...

People ask me what I do in winter when there's no baseball. I'll tell you what I do. I stare out the window and wait for spring. ~Rogers Hornsby
Srlsy?
To echo PhiSlamma, I really hope this means we bring back Edgardo and Esteban, too!
RIP Nick Adenhart.

Makes sense to me
We were one inside fastball to Kendry away from having a huge hole in the lineup. Needed to backup at first with the flexability to play other positions off the bench and bring a hot wife to the table as well.
I was assuming we would go with Wood at first and just let Maicer play third in that event

and then who cycles guys for rest days?
Two threads going on this – there’s a Fan Shot too.

"TRADITION! ....Rob Quinlan!"
“Da da da da da da dum TRADITION!
Whose gonna play one game out of fifty
whose fielding isn’t nifty
who never hits it out
whose gonna bat under .260
the Angels are so thrifty
it makes you want to shout:
TRADITION!….Rob Quinlan!

Arte, Soth, and The Ninja
just wanted to stare at his wife some more.
First we had a Salmon and now we have a Trout, let's see the same results.
I have faith and confidence
that Quinlan will regain the form that made him one of the most feared hitters in baseball from July 24 – August 14, 2004.

Ding ding!
Rest in peace, Rory. When I think of some of the greatest moments in my Angels fandom, I hear your voice describing them. Thanks for everything you gave us.
Yeah. I think the one below that Stirrups responded to is better than this one.
This one is not as funny as the second one below.

Nice! Now we're subject to seeing that vintage fey Q stance in the box
for another year. A thousand bucks says Q is the heir apparent to Mickey Hatcher.
Thank you, Omar Minaya! Thank you, Mets (Vaughn, GMJ) AGAIN!
It is the next move in a trade with the Mets
We send them Q and they send us Johan Santana, with the Mets paying all but $2M of Santana’s salary. It is the other half of the GMJ deal. Its all been worked out in advance.

Quinlan
A versatile backup who doesn’t complain about being a backup. Can decently defend the corners in the outfield and infield. Hope he makes the team. Regardless of how hot his wife is.
Angel Pitching, Angel Defense - get past that.

NA, #34 SP, LAA
Light up the Halo for Nick!
More Howie please...
In the hinterlands............
and have never seen a photo of Q’s “hot” wife. Can somebody please post one or a link to one? I’d like to evaluate the hotness myself instead of taking the word of all of you reprobates.
Cheers Seik!!!!
I have to agree with the assessments of this august panel. I guess that makes me a reprobate too!! (WOW, now having flashbacks of my Covina childhood……)
I know I'm going to do a facepalm when someone posts the answer
But who the hell on the team was “Jamie Bates” married to?
Norman?
Master?
Who?
