While reading the exploits of our Far East explorer YWC, and of his insights of traveling in the land of Wa. I noticed that he took a picture of a vending machine (how he found one in Japan befuddles me) with an advertisement of a man known to us as Godzilla ...

I was intrigued by this fabled lizard god. So I started my own travels, and embarked on the faithful http-google. On several stops during my search I found a temple to the man they call Hideki Matsui, also known to all as Godzilla. He is called that because he destroys opposing pitchers, and also that his face is full of pock marks like his namesake.

At this temple I found some documentary footage of this god, and of a drink that is made in his honor.
