Way to go Hud!
Congrats!
Maybe now the Angels will look at bringing him back, even if it’s just for the postgame with BillyMac.

Hud was my favorite by far
sure he messed up sometimes, but his pure enthusiasm can’t be matched. Great to see he’s recognized.
Great news for Hud!!
Too bad he’s no longer calling games for the Halos.
YOU DON'T KNOW THE POWER OF THE DARKSIDE.....
One can assume the vote was taken recently...
and seeing as it was the last chance to honor Hud the vote skewed in his favor…
Why you always
hatin’ on Hud Rev?
You’ve made it clear you didn’t care for Hudler, but give the guy his due.
Frankly the thought of Rory (RIP) and Gubicza calling all the Angels games this year was a sickening thought. If you like bland commentary, incredibly unfunny banter, and uncomfortable silences then they were your duo. Gubicza needs some training before he should be allowed near the booth. Jose Mota is straight up terrible. I like Terry Smith but I guess the organization has determined that he’s not TV material.
Hudler brought passion, enthsuiasm, humor, and IMO a decent amount of behind the scenes baseball knowledge. Maybe he catered to the younger audience a little too much, but it was tempered with anecdotes and analysis that could’ve only come from someone who lived the game.
F Carpino (or whatever his name is) and Arte for getting rid of Rex. Physioc I could care less about.

I agree, Hud is a straight-up entertainer
And in the end I suppose that’s what baseball is, entertainment. Just ask the people I get into salary cap/floor arguments with.
I enjoyed watching him because he made me laugh during his broadcasts and sometimes made me yell at him to shut up. Either way, he was part of what kept me into the games and made it feel like “home.” He made the telecasts fun.
His personality reminds me of Torii Hunter in some ways. If you say you wouldn’t enjoy watching Torii Hunter broadcast Angels games in the future, then I don’t know what to do for you. Try Ball In A Cup or something, I guess.

I liked the team of Rory and Gubi together and was really excited about getting to hear them all year. Now though, I wouldn’t mind Rex back with Terry Smith on TV. I agree about Mota. I don’t get the appeal some people have for him. Perhaps he’s great in the Spanish broadcast, but it just sounds like he’s got marbles in his mouth when he speaks in English.
Hudler had his goofy nicknames and stupid anecdotes that could get on my nerves at times, and although I’d always rip on him during the game (even if i was watching the game alone), I’d really like to see him back. Hearing Gubi in the booth with a new guy might not have the same chemistry that Hudler would have with anyone.
Physioc still sucks. That was a good firing.
I really, really, really, REALLY hope they bring him back.
And not just because of these awards. The man deserves to stay with the organization he’s given nearly everything to, even if it’s in a reduced role. Bring him back, Fox. Please.
RIP Nick Adenhart.
