The longstanding powerhouse of the AL West lost many key pieces this offseason – namely starters John Lackey, Vladimir Guerrero and Chone Figgins – without signing any replacements.
Tell Matsui and Pineiro they aren’t on our team.

Also, how are the Mariners one spot ahead of the Angels and NINE ahead of the Rangers? I wasn’t aware they signed two impact power bats today — MLBTR must be asleep on the ’net.

Sorry but I am not banking on Figgins having another yar of actually taking pitches. 2009 was the second time he actually used any type of patience. He plays at a power position with no power, and his speed is declining rapidly.
Lackey isnt worth 85 million dollars, is injury prone, and sucks in Boston. have fun with that
