Texting for the score
My brother showed this to me last year and I thought I'd share this with everyone here on Halos Heaven.
If you're like me and not always able to catch the game, you can follow it on your phone via text message for free. By texting Cha Cha (242 242) and writing "Score Angels," you will receive an update that includes the inning, current score and scores of the last two games played. This works for any team and, assuming you want the score of the Kings (who play in both L.A. and Sacramento) you would simply type "Score NHL Kings" or "Score NBA Kings."
If you're familiar with those stupid KGB ads and what they do, it's basically the same thing but free of charge. They can get away without charging you because you'll receive 2 text messages with one being an ad. It doesn't beat watching the game but it's a cheap and easy way to follow along in class or at work or something.
I thought I'd just throw this out into our little community and do my part to help out. Enjoy.
*Disclaimer: I do not work for Cha Cha in any way and this isn't a shameless plug for some product with which I'm associated. I've just showed it to some friends and they seem to enjoy it so I thought I'd spread the word.

Or you could use MLB for free
Text the word Angels to MLBGO (65246)
Angels baseball. We do what we must, because we can -- HaloDutch
ESPN has fantasy updates you can set up easy and for free
You can do it per team for the whole season, or just one game, and can also choose when they alert you (every time someone scores, the end of the game, 3rd 6th and 9th innings) etc.
Its super handy to keep up with your starters in fantasy while at work.
I brought sexy back, but they only gave me store credit....

Good advise!
Cell phones can be used for good, and are not wholly evil. Who knew?
Or text any number of friends, family, or others who probably/possibly know the score
or use your phone’s internet connectivity features, if you have them, to find it yourself.

More for those (like me) who don't have internet
or possibly no one else is watching the game.

Thanks for the FYI
It’s the simple things in life (that we already pay for) that make me so happy.
And miss AlanFalcon's ace play-by-play?!
Fat chance!!!

I know this is random but...
When I first saw your sig, I was thinking “ok, he must know that Wood and Willits are not competing” so I’m guessing you hate Willits (I don’t hate him, but his time/place has gone) and that you feel Wood > Izturis?
Well, at least you are half right ;P
I love Maicer
That is my sig from last year. I have not changed it for the 2010 season.
I also know one has nothing to do with the other. (Wood/Willits)
Play Wood already. Willits sucks.
theres also twitter, and fangraphs has a sweet app that tells you the score, inning, and the likelihood of winning the game
