I went to Trader Joes. They have these little cute bags but they are $3 for about 20 pieces of “Garlic Cheese” croutons.

Now I’ll say they do stay crunchy while fighting off the homemade Caesar salad dressing I made, but they have little if any garlic or cheese taste to them. And for $3 a bag that won’t feed many, it was a rip in my opinion.

I’ll definitely try your suggestion next time, especially because I <3 sourdough.

However, if anyone wants a kick-ass Caesar dressing recipe fresh as can be, use this:

1/3 cup oil
1 clove garlic, crushed
1 egg
2 tablespoons cider vinegar
1 tablespoon lemon juice
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper (more if wished)
2 teaspoons anchovy paste
1/2 cup parmesan cheese, grated

I know this isn’t the fecking cooking channel, but since this is a bit of staple and hard to find a great dressing, I just thought I’d share. For the record, I subbed 3 anchovy slices from Trader Joes for the paste (feck paste), and put in about 10x the garlic and pepper because I’m a freak. Everyone said it was the best part of the dinner. Feck mayonaise-based dressing of the same ilk.
