Woody's looking a little better
We’re seeing a lot less ugly swings from him. Just from my observation, when he’s able to get ahead in the count, he becomes a great hitter. He’s selective enough to get his pitch. This is rare though, as he almost always takes the first pitch, then fouls off the 2nd, then watches a couple balls in the dirt. The good news is 2 years ago if Wood made it past 4 pitches in an AB it was considered a win. I’ve never seen a better minor leaguer need more work lol. Still he’s one of my favorites.

I’m still not sure what our FO sees in this kid. He was torched everywhere above A ball, should have never been promoted. Straight fastball, not overly hard, doesn’ hide it at all. Command is average, offspeed pitches are garbage. Sometimes he has an effective sinker, but not often enough to be worth taking a look at.
the only one I can think of is....
Players that might be promoted this year, not out of injury. Meaning guys that just do it on merit. I’d say Kohn, Walden, Reckling, Bourjos, Amarista, Conger and Trout seem like good bets to have a good season.
