Thank you, Nick Adenhart. You will always be remembered. #34

A Couple changes
Orlando Cabrera for SS of the 2000’s and Adam Kennedy for 2B of the decade. Also, I know Kendry Morales is the better player but has he really spent enough time with the big club to make the list? I’d be tempted to put Darin Erstad in that spot.
I was gonna say, where is Ersty?
Are you basing this list on stats alone? Intangibles? Everything? Your favorites + emotion?
I’d have to have Ersty. I don’t think that ‘grit’ has yet to be replaced in the lineup.
And although one year does not define a player of course, in 2000 he led the AL in hits (240), singles (170) and at-bats (676), was second in total bases (366) and third in runs (121) – also hit .355 and second in the batting race behind Nomahhhh (.372).
And became the first player in MLB history to record 100 RBIs as a leadoff hitter.
and he was a damn good defender
Its worth saying again that he is the ONLY player to win a Gold Glove at OF and 1B. Then again, it is the gold glove awards so that doesn’t necessarily mean much.
i would put figgins at 2nd
over eckstein. I know he’s more of a utility guy but you gotta put him somewhere
2009 was good. Now on to 2010 - Let's go Halos!
Really? Terrible list!
SP – Jeff Weaver
SP – Pat Rapp
SP – Ismael Valdez
SP – Ken Hill
SP – Kent Bottenfeld
RP – Esteban Yan
RP – J.C. Romero
RP – Rich Thompson
CL – Justin Speier
C – Josh Paul
1B – Robb Quinlan
2B – Edgardo Alfonzo
SS – Benji Gil
3B – Shane Halter
RF – Steve Finley
CF – Gary Matthews Jr.
LF – Adam Riggs
DH – Shea Hillenbrand
B – Lou Merloni
B- Raul Mondesi
B- Alfredo Amezaga
Now THAT is a team that’s gonna win you some games, I tell ya what.

Win.
Except I think Rich Thompson is still a little too good for this list.
Don’t forget Mo Vaughn on the bench!
RIP Nick Adenhart.

Carrasco had one really solid year for us, though
I didn’t include a small handful of guys that I could have because they all performed too well at some point or another, even if their long-term career with us was poor/mediocre.

That was actually who I almost went with
I guess Thompson still has time to turn it all around, but for now his 7.71ERA in the aughts will do.
