Former Angel Curtis Pride Is Head Baseball Coach at Gallaudet
He's been coaching all this year, but I first stumbled across the news this morning (hat tip Baseball America).
I have this very vivid memory of him going yard in a 2006 day game after replacing a banged up Vlad in the late innings. Pride put up the 13th best minor league performance for the Halos that year, raking .311/.424/.465 with 8 HR's and 21 SB's in AAA.

Cool
I remember this guy. Glad to see he’s still accomplishing things and overcoming adversity.
FYI your link isn’t working. It just asks for some login to Baseball America. At least, that’s what it’s doing for me.

OK, linked to a free feature piece
BA’s article focussed on the baseball though, so probably was a better read. For some reason, I thought it was one of their free stories…
Sweet, thanks!

A hearing person coaching at Galludet is unheard of.
