My worry about him is this though.

Think back to last ST, If you recall he hit well and was spectacular even better than this ST hitting wise. However how did he do the first part of the season? Yea he did bad. I will wait and see what happens but I do hope he does great from the start.

it should carry further since the air is drier.

As to the wind question, as with all ballparks, the wind blows from west to east, due to the prevailing westerlies and the fact that most parks face east-northeast. If a lefty is standing on the mound, his arm is on the “south side” of the mound and thus emerged the nickname “southpaw.”

I only get to see diamonds at the city parks. They build them where they fit, and the other stadiums in Hawaii are mostly built with homeplate towards the mountains. That’s where the wind, and rain, originate from. They want to keep the elements out of the fans faces.
