idk I personally like Juan in LF more than RF though. It is best to have that arm there and we know he has a great arm and very accurate though to the plate.

As long as he's in the corners, it's fine
If I’m not mistaken, RF is typically considered a more important defensive position because it’s easier for guys to go 1st-3rd on balls hit out that way because it is a much longer throw. Having a powerful, accurate arm there discourages that and would still be in position to make throws to the plate. That’s the way it’s always seemed to me at least.
If he keeps his performance up the next two years, I think Juan could get extended or brought back on a nice deal.

But assuming it’s about average since he’s kind of a small guy, I’d expect him to cut his teeth in LF and then move to CF when Torii gets tired of being awesome.

On the radio this morning
a national writer said that the angels will drop in the standing because they are “Due” to not win again. He said we have questionable Speed, and power. But the thing that pissed me off was that he said that the angels have no “bridge between the starts and the Closer” our 8th inning is in question? What shit. What about the greatness that is Shields?

Excessive eval of Scot.
He was great from 2003 to 2008. 2009 was his first major injury. Cut him a bit of slack. Now, whether he returns from that injury will be the big question.

Never been a Shields fan, always thought he was massively overrated. Just go to BBR and check out his lifetime ERA in Fenway.

In that writer's defense...
Shields is a question mark as he was hurt last year. Rodney is a question mark, in my mind. Middle relief questions and the closer position being anchored by players a, b and c will make for an interesting innings 5 – 9 for the Halos this year. I put 5 in there since Kazmir (and to a lesser extent, Pineiro) is a high-pitch count pitcher.
