KLAA AM830 The Drive/Throwbacks Sports Bar Fundraising Event
Join Jeff Biggs and Jason Brennan along with listeners and friends from the Drive on KLAA AM830 as we shave our heads on SATURDAY March 13th to raise money for childhood cancer research at Throwbacks Sports Bar in Anaheim. The event is basically a jog-a-thon type sponsorship where your pledges on line or the day of the event go to the St. Baldricks Foundation (link below).
I would love to see a Halos Heaven team be put together if there is anyone hear who wants to participate. There will be raffle prizes and giveaways supplied by the Angels and Ducks including game tickets that will be eligible to donors and shavees.
Thanks again for all the support for the show and the great content provided here at Halos Heaven.

Rev Halofan Here: I am personally pledging $10 for everyone who shows up to this event, tells Jason they are from Halos Heaven and gets their head shaved. This is Win-Win: The Foundation gets money and your chances of getting laid multiply by a thousand when you explain to hot chicks why you shaved your head.
Remember that our site motto is: Our Community Exists for More Than Itself. Halos Heaven distinguishes itself from other chest-thumping online baseball communities by mobilizing our base for a good cause.

If I was still single...
…I’d strongly consider it.
But just curious, what is happening with the hair that is being shaved? Is it being used for hair pieces (if it’s salvagable) for the children going through chemo, etc. who lose their hair?
My wifes mom owns a popular hair extension/hair place in the San Fernando valley and she regularly helps with charities and donates hair to hospitals where it helps those who lost their hair and need a self-esteem boost but can’t afford to buy good hair pieces (I never knew they were so expensive till she told me).
If there is a number or contact for this charity that can actually use hair for these children, let me know and I’ll her tell her mom to contact them.
I’ll forward this to her anyway as she always donates, but I’m trying to interview so I can’t lose my hair right now. Can we come and keep our hair and just donate?
Alrighty, I already forwarded the info to her...
…and told her to forward it to her mom.
I’m guessing the shaving of the head is just a rally type thing but if this organization can actually use hair pieces for the children who’s familys can’t afford them otherwise, any contact info and I’ll send them to her.
She’d be glad to help I’m sure. I’ve never been to Throwbacks so if the date is free, we’ll try and make it.
Sign me up
I’ll be at a beach cleaning 8-12 on the 13th with my wife(dodger fan booo) and her little sister(angel fan thank you very much). When we are done I plan on hauling ace to throwbacks. I’m bout due for a hair cut and would love to join my fellow halo heaven brethren to support these brave kids.

Come get a haircut!
Love to see people wanting to sign up and thanks to the Rev for stepping up. Take the link above and sign up ahead of time so that we make sure we have enough “stylists” on hand. Thanks again for the support.
Rev, you still gonna pay
If its just a normal hair cut (head is shaved already)? I was gonna re-cut it tonight, but if its for a good cause I’ll wait till tomorrow.

Tomorrow?
This is March 13th right? Next Saturday? You would have to wait a week to get shaved.

It's across his forehead, right?
If so, I will match that. Also no lie.
