H. Matsui as a High-School Player
I was trying to search some video footages in the youtube the other day for some historical videos about Hideki Matsui. I came across a trivia about him as a high school player. During Japanese High School Baseball Series in 1992, Matsui got consecutive 5 intentional walks, which is a record of the series. Matsui's team (Seiryo High) lost by 2-3.
The first video shows all 5 IBBs include some angry fans throwing stuff into the field.
The second video shows Matsui stole second at 9th and some after-game footage.

JEEZ!!
Matsui had a legion of reporters following him around in high school. Unreal. The man is like Babe Ruth to them.
I think it was like a high-school world series...
I cant imagine all high-school games this packed.

I lived in Japan...
And while high school games aren’t generally this packed, it’s normal for them to have 500+ in attendance. Little League games out there get 100 every game, they LOVE this game.
that is fucking awesome...
nice bit of information, Halo. I really, really want to go to a game in Japan.

A hit for Bobby. Wilson, that is.
19 for the Angels today!
Rest in peace, Rory. When I think of some of the greatest moments in my Angels fandom, I hear your voice describing them. Thanks for everything you gave us.
Where the hell am I?
How did I get here?

Notice the guys who were sent to pick up the debris thrown out on the field?
They threw the stuff right back into the stands!! That’s the kind of attitude we need in this country!
