An Angels Fan in Hostile Territory

Hello to all,

I was at a bar last night watching the Sharks game and totally rockin' my Halo's cap when I was assailed by a Giants fan and an A's fan within about five minutes each other. I guess the bay area baseball scene is alive and well again due to both teams being in first place positions that can't possibly last any longer than me after heavy reruns of My Cousin Vinny. When is Marisa Tomei going to finally realize she's in love with me.

I've lived in SF for about six years or so so I've become accustomed to it but last night really bothered me for some reason. It also made me really proud of the fact I've been wearing my Angels gear religiously since I've moved up here. It's definitely not easy sometimes as A's fans can be total jerks and Giants fans are still really upset that we Scott Spiezio'd them out of their championship they felt they had won after Dusty Baker gave up the game ball. But hey, their gripe is with Felix Rodriguez, not me.

The last time I went to Oakland Coliseum; which happens to be a ballpark that Frank Lloyd Wright would have designed if he totally sucked and hated baseball as much I hate prime time television; I had nachos thrown on me by an A's fan who trying to convince me that our 90 win team 'sucked.' He was about to convince me that we sucked until I was struck on my back by a half pound of bland chips and warmed over 'cheese product." Oakland is the worst ballpark ever and I hope they all go to baseball hell, which is likely extremely similar to Oakland coliseum on a hot day when the Royals are in town and that lame chick you met at Dave & Busters won't stop texting you.

In closing, I just want to give a shout out to all my fellow Angels who sport their gear from Anchorage to Key West, from San Diego to Jonesport, RI. My Halos cap is off to you.
