Living amongst the M's faithful is always entertaining for an Angel fan AND yesterday was no exception. Highlight of my week.
Buster Olney sent an email to Brock and Salk (espn radio 710 in Seattle) that the M's had traded for San Diego's Adrian Gonzalez.

You have to listen to appreciate the humor and excitement and finally the amount of anger that goes with this. It went on for a long time and the text messages kept coming throughout the show. People had to leave work they were so excited... :D "Screw you guys...never listening to you again!" A bunch of things they can't say on the air...
ROFLMAO!
Per Buster, the M's got AGon for an April Fools joke and 3 laughs at your expense to be named later... :D

The M’s and Padres were made aware as well so that it did not go ballistic all over the interwebs…funny funny stuff. Kinda makes you wonder how long that producer will be with the show…?!

Humiliating M's fans - priceless
I like how it reveals how they REALLY feel about their team. They’ve made some weird decisions, and have a weak offense, and they know it. It’s like a lot of M’s fans are playing along with the hype because it’s fun to dream, but they’re all semi-consciously concerned that a harsh reality will awaken them soon.
I'm wearing a "Markas" patch on my sleeve this season.

One good thing about the hype…last year was sooo much better to live around here…
Baseball is a LONG season and the better the M’s do, the more airtime, the more excitement about baseball in general is generated around here. Baseball is my sport and when the local team sucks the folks take it personal and get real down (which is fine, but real depressing). Baseball just gets more play around here when they are good AND I get sooo tired of the 4 letter’s shameless incessant NFL talk. Puuhhhllleeasse, give it a rest!
Obviously, the Angels must still rule, and I wear my playoff sweatshirts daily with pride!!! ;)
PS…shameless plug for my favorite local Vancouver BC band. The Veer Union. Look them up on youtube. Seasons, Youth of Yesterday, I’m Sorry, Over Me, etc… Currently on tour with Puddle of Mudd…and damn it, they were just down in Ana on April 1st. Wish I would have posted something sooner. :(

Got to love how Brock and Salk were utterly despondent.
And how when all is said and done they KNOW that the M’s aren’t that good outside of their # 1-2 starters and Figgy and Ichiro. Hope is one thing, hype is another. The terribly upset fans reaction was priceless as well. I love when hearts are torn asunder.
