Simple: Napoli or Wood?

With the recent discussions and poll on who the closer should be, I was not surprised that the poll was heavily in favor of Rodney but was surprised the comments supported Fuentes.

So that said, who's name do you want to see in the lineup each day given their current level of play (and what you believe each can contribute)?

Now this isn't as clear-cut as closer for closer, but there are still similar tradeoffs.

Naps is blocking Mathis (although when healthy it was quite the other way around) and Wood is blocking Tits.   Each is touted for their potential power...when it's there.  Naps has a body of work at least, verdict is still out on Wood.

Wood:  6 hits, 17 SO, 2 BB, 53 ABs (1 extra bases), 2 RBI, .132 AVG, .145 OBP
Naps:  5 hits, 10 SO, 5 BB, 32 ABs (0 extra bases), 2 RBI, .156 AVG, .289 OBP

Mathis sure made part of this discussion all but unnecessary but who knows how he'll be when he comes back.

I am convinced that barring injury, at least one of these two will be traded this year.  And reading between all the lines as of late, I still think it's Naps.

Give me Tits and Math!  But I guess I rather see Wood over Naps in case we win the lottery and he does figure it out.  We already know Naps upside...and downside.

ANGELS sweep the TRIBE starting tonight!
