Extraordinarily lame analysis of the Angels on the interwebs
Jesus, this linked "report" is so awful, I truly hope nobody here wrote it.
Mike Lowell is the answer for the Angels? Really? A guy so broken down that a 4th place team struggling to reach .500 might have to eat his contract and release him? But the wise counsel is to move Mathis or Napoli for him?
Or Miguel Tejada? How many PED users has Arte knowingly pursued? And what price would the Orioles be expecting in return?
Same with Scott Downs: At what cost? Napoli for the remainder of Downs' last season before free agency? Seriously?
We really need at least minimal standards for intelligence to prevent blog postings like the one linked above from ever seeing the light of day.

Bleacher Report is a site
that exists to get google hits by alway adding in as many names to a story as possible. Eventually google will shut them out of their algorithm.
dont marry the bank teller
Agreed.
I’d take Maicer over Lowell. Our bullpen is fine. Tejada’s good but the infield isn’t the Angels problem.

Obama is congratulating the yanks for wining their 27th ws but white sox fans are mad that he said the word cubs which is the word you cant say if you’re a white sox fan which is racist just like torii hunter said about Latinos who are dark like chapman who is from cuba like kendry Morales who the angels singed and only now is getting things done when they had to replace tex who is on the yanks and delivered their 27th ws when obama congratulated them but said cubs where cubs fans are protesting Arizona’s new law for next year’s all star game that this year will be in Anaheim for the 3rd time and the first time that they won something which is till less then the cubs who haven’t won in 100+ years at least they won it once unlike the padres who are on fire recently just like ortiz’s butt after he got burned by the media again that is fox news that obama is fighting because of obamacare that many people hate that it is fascist and Communist like hitler and russia well russia was and so is china that makes so many toys that America will now have to make and where are you going its my first sentence as America is becoming more adhd for bleacher report this is fake news guy at whatever time this is.

Without commenting on the rest of it, remember that Arte did, in fact, have a deal in place in 2006 to bring Miguel Tejada to the Angels, before Angelos backed out.
Light up that halo! RIP, Nick.
True
Not the point, though. Tejada was not a known user of PEDs back in the time when the Angels were seeking him. Arte has not sought any players who are known (or even generally suspected) users of PEDs.
As I recall, the offer was Santana and Aybar for Tejada. It was a done deal, until two things happened in the 11th hour: Angelos held out for Adenhart to be included (great marketing angle bringing hometown boy back to Baltimore) and Tejada groused in the media that he didn’t want to play 3B (specifically, he didn’t want to learn 3B in the middle of the season).
Contrary to the misinformation in the column, the Angels weren’t about to move OC over to 3B and install Tejada at SS. Cabrera was hitting close to .300 at that time and wound up winning the Gold Glove for SS that season. No way the Angels were going to mess with that kind of success.
Just one more detail in the essay that was simply wrong.
"I can't tell people what to think or not to think. Their perceptions are their perceptions. We just feel we've taken a step forward. At the end of the day, we have to play 162 games. Once that happens then we'll be able to evaluate the offseason moves."~Tony Reagins, on the Angels' offseason

If the human brain could take a dump
that link is probably what it would look like. Guys who write like that are clearly fans post 2002.
