Over and Under .500, How The Angels Are Really Doing.

As we all know the Halos have been off to a rough start this year. One thing that I feel is being overlooked is the teams that we have been playing. It has been a slow start for a lot of the guys on the team, and I feel this is due to the teams we have been playing against. Here are a few numbers that I grabbed when I was wondering how these other teams were doing.

Amount of games against teams over .500 - 29 (11-18 @ .379)

Amount of games against teams under .500 - 6 (4-2 @ .667)

Teams yet to play against and their winning pct.

Texas- .545

KC- .333

Chicago- .424

Baltimore- .273

The team started to play well during their first road trip against the Blue Jays and played well up until the miserable road trip last week. The way I see it is the team has not had an "easy series" outside the Cleveland and Seattle series. Let’s just wait to see how these guys do when they start playing the bottom teams from all the other leagues, I think they will heat up and start playing well. One good sign I have taken from this Tampa Bay series; is that the team seems to be coming around with the bats against one of the top pitching teams in baseball right now. I don’t feel like it is time to talk about trades but I do think the top 2 players to be dealt at the deadline will be Napoli (to a team that needs a catcher) and Rivera (because of the low contract and above average offensive numbers).
