Angels Sign Daniel Cabrera
He's sucked in the past, but he definitely has upside, so why not? He's assigned to AA.

not loving those walk rates, maybe he can contribute in the bullpen.
They want power. We want respect...
What are you talking about?
With those walk rates he’d fit right in!
sadly I laughed at this.

How 'bout signing some of our draft picks?

Cowart is going to take a while
I’m guessing the team opens with something in the range of $1.2 million and it’s going to carry on for the rest of the year.
This is a good move
We just signed a pitcher whose K record is off the charts. Stuff wise, he’s great, and few pitching coaches are better than the ones the Angels possess in their system. If anyone can turn Cabrera’s career around, it’s the Angels, or Cardinals.
Best case scenario, we have ourselves a dominant late inning reliever that will be up with the team by August. Worst case scenario, he flames out in AA and we lose nothing.
Imagine if this guy gets control of his pitches and the Angels get smart and promote Michael Kohn, that bullpen would go from questionable to formidable. It’s worth a shot.
We betrayed Vlad, the greatest Angel. Epic fail.
The guy has some of the worst command I've ever seen
I have no doubts about our organization’s pitching coaches, but to figure out this guy would take a long time to make him a dominant late inning reliever.
Torii Hunter has some Brain Movage
Agreed....partially...
He already has the stuff to be a dominant inning reliever, what he needs is the control. IF our coaches found a mechanical tweak or a new grip on an old pitch, it could fix him. Or he could just be that wild. LOL you never know. I still think he;s wroth a shot.

This could be interesting
At the very least, now our guys at AA will get practice in rallying from behind.
