according to Rosenthal, "The Angels want to add a first base and Adam Dunn is on their list of targets. The Nationals have been trying to re-sign Dunn to a contract extension, but haven’t done so yet. If the Angels can’t acquire Dunn, they could go after Adam LaRoche and then trade Mike Napoli as apart of that trade or a different one. The move would reduce the catching depth of the Angels, but Mike Scoscia isn’t enamored with Napoli’s catching either way." I know this has been discussed before, but it's still weird to hear the Angels--according to rumors--are still interested in adding a 1B bat. The only thing that makes sense from the rumor, would be a trade that would send one of the Angels' many catchers away--just when I started to think Conger will be trade bait.
