I don't like him

I just think he needs to be given a shot at consistent playing time, he has sucked after injury as most people do. If he continues as is, he’s done. If he plays like the 09 playoffs/pre-injury this year then we win.

Just got home

Man Kazmir sucks. The guy needs to go. His arm is obviously not right. The last time the Angels had a starter this bad he pretty much kept the Angels out of the playoff by himself and his name was Jeff Weaver in 2006.

What scares me guys is do you realize that even before Kaz’s bad start today Weaver had the LOWER WHIP in 2006 than Kaz does in 2009 which is MORE pitcher friendly. I think after tonight their ERA + will be almost identical in the low 70’s.

How much more of his crap do we have to endure? Personally if I was Soth I’d tell him he’s going to start and that he’s only a 3-4 inning pitcher. Do go as hard as he can in those innings and see if that increases his fastball velocity at all. If it doesn’t, his arm is SHOT and you might as well release him.

Not to REALLY bum everyone out but....

….we were supposed to have a great young pitcher in the rotation this year named Nick Adenhart. Unfortunately, the worst tragedy in Angels history had to happen. So we lost a great young player and our system doesn’t have anyone close to being ready (because they weren’t supposed to need to have anyone for us).

Secondly, no one is saying the team doesn’t have faults, we are just saying your annoying bitching after we lose and saying the team will go nowhere literally adds nothing to the conversation.

And finally, we fight adamantly, didn’t you say that you are a teacher?

you really are a teenager huh? Why am I coming here during a loss? Because when we win, the organization is feeling like everything is ok and nobody listens…it just hides the faults. Even if we make the playoffs, there is no chance in hell we are winning anything. This team has no true scary bat, just many complimentary players. Matsui never carried an offense in his career, so why would he now? Our pitching staff has no true proven ace yet. Weaver is pitching amazing, but the jury over a whole season and in the playoffs is still out. Our bullpen is crap.

I can see how this is going to set up

Vlad has a monster year, wins the comeback player of the year award, is the running for the MVP, makes the playoffs, but disappoints. The Rangers happy sticking it to the Angels award Vlad with a 4/60 contract. Vlad has another decent year then craps out turns into a injury prone double play machine.
