It's official--Aybar demoted from leadoff
Izzy's hitting leadoff, Erick 9th. Ironically comes at a time when Aybar has reached base 11 times the past 4 games, going 3/3 in stolen bases.

Well hopefully this works out.
I like Aybar in the 9 hole but I don’t know about Izzy leading off.
Torii Hunter has some Brain Movage
Izzy or Willits for lead off.
I don’t think Aybar is really lead-off hitter material. I think even Frandsen would make a good lead-off hitter.
I'm not as bad as all of you.
I don't like the move
Aybar’s been swinging better than his results, and his walk-rate improvement is something to encourage, not punish. He’s taking his pitches, and getting close to figuring it out.
I agree with everything you said after "I don't like the move".
I don’t know what to think about the “demotion”.
It would have happened a lot sooner, except Izzy was on the DL
It’s looking like it will stick too. Izzy looks more suited for that spot for the time being. Also, Wood’s showing absolutely nothing in AAA right now and Frandsen has impressed us and then some.
I think Izzy will play 3rd 3 out of 5 days, SS 1/5 and 2B 1/5. This gives Howie and Aybar one day of rest a week and gets Frandsen two starts a week, which he is deserving of.
I can’t imagine Wood coming back to the bench. If he couldn’t hit playing everyday, and can’t hit AAA in his rehab assignment, putting him on the bench for weeks at a time won’t make it any better. He’s either going to be released or he’ll come up with some convenient.incovenient injury that lands him on the 60 day DL.

He seriously might be....
Not this season I don’t think, but if this keeps up, it could happen as early as this offseason or even next season. He has to show something, anything. Even Aybar in his first year as a starter, as bad as he was, showed flashes of the player he could be.
With Woody, the power’s not there, the adjustments aren’t there, the extremely hot and cold streaks aren’t there, just ice cold, and worst of all, the defense isn’t there. I had assumed that if nothing else, he would be a very good defensive 3B. He has the arm for it, and the range, glove and instincts, but he just hasn’t done it. He hasn’t even looked like he can.
I’m not giving up on Brandon, but there’s more there and he has to prove it. His fans (me included) don’t have any more excuses to burn.

I disagree
Had wood gone down and crushed AAA pitching he may have been released. The fact is though that right now something is wrong with him. Whether it is physical or mental, the guy isnt right. You dont release a guy with his potential who isnt right. You get him fixed or keep trying until he gives up. there is NO WAY he will be released.

He's really screwed up right now.
In his mind, he knows that he’s got to earn the job back; it’s not going to be given to him.
Temporarily, panic seems to have set in…….unless that hip flexor is still bugging him…………..
I suspect the Angels are still going to give him every reasonable opportunity to pull things together.
