This kid is not just a great athlete he is a great young man. He comes from a rock solid family that has instilled strong values and work ethics. I have watch him grow up in our local youth baseball and he deserves everything he gets from the Angels. Click here for a one on one interview with a local newspaper sports guy. Kaleb is from my home town and I have watched him play day in and day out. Contrary to some "experts" opinions, he can really hit the ball. He does seem to struggle a little with off speed and breaking stuff from the left side. I have seen him hit two home runs in the same inning, hit line drives that nearly take the head off of infielders, and field ground balls so smoothly that he looks like he is on ice skates. The Angels have a great pick in Kaleb they just need to work with him to develop his hitting from the left side. You have heard obviously that he hit over around .650 his senior year with 11 home runs. His average was the second highest in history for the state of Georgia. What you haven't heard is that he did this while averaging only about 2 true at bats per game. Pretty much every team we played would not even pitch to him after the first or second at bat...Can't really say that I blame them. You also won't here on all the sports websites that Kaleb also excelled in the classroom. Kaleb was an Honor Graduate graduating with a 94.5 avg. for 4 years of school. He is such a great asset to our High School and community and I know he will be the same for the Angels.
