Despite Scioscia and Reagins having said they aren't interested, Rosenthal still believes the Angels will be in the market for a rental player at 1B that they can let go when Kendry comes back next season. Rosenthal also says the Angels intend to pursue Carl Crawford this winter. Personally, I'm not doubting that we will pursue Crawford. But, at this point, who isn't going to be pursuing Crawford? The Yankee won't be, but that still leaves the Rays, RedSox, Dodgers, Phillies and Tigers as the Angels competition for his services, and that's a lot of big market and well positioned teams that need him, it would be difficult to outbid them all. Personally I think the Angels stick with Napoli at 1B, in hopes of increasing his trade value this winter. I also think they'll stick with an in-house option at 5th starter and if they make any move, it will be for a bullpen arm.
