Stop wasting everyone's time
He will be convicted no matter where the trial is. Piece of shit scumbag.
Torii Hunter has some Brain Movage
Yeah, like a change of venue is going to help...
a guy with a suspended license due to a previous DUI and he was running away from the scene. Death penalty is in order.
I love this team.

sure, take it out of Orange County and bring it on up here to LA, Gallo
I’ll give you your fucking verdict
All I need are some tasty waves, a cool buzz, and I'm fine.

Gallo's getting the death penalty, no matter the trial is......
Even if Gallo somehow managed to avoid the death penalty and got out before his 70th birthday on good behavior, I can guarantee you someone will take justice into their own haands and end his life. The only question in my mind is, does he deserve the mercy of a slow death? Killing Gallo will not bring Nick back, but it will take one more scumbag off the streets and one less scumbag living off our tax dollars. I can’t speak for the afterlife, but there’s a part of me that hopes there’s a special place in hell where people like Gallo will burn extra hot for all eternity. This sentiment isn’t exclusive to Southern California either.
We betrayed Vlad, the greatest Angel. Epic fail.
Um, the death penalty is only available for FIRST degree murder.
Sorry.
Light up that halo! RIP, Nick.
Thanks for setting me straight as well.
I love this team.

Even if he does get a death penalty, appeals can go on for ten or fifteen years.
I hate the New York Yankees
This happened a month ago...
Briefs have already been filed, etc., and it doesn’t look like the judge is willing to give Gallo what he wants, IIRC from the earlier reports. Seems the judge is rightfully tired of these stalling tactics…watch, the next thing on appeal will be that Gallo didn’t get a speedy enough trial under the Sixth Amendment. Nice try buddy, but that argument’s already been tried and failed in other cases.
Light up that halo! RIP, Nick.
I heard Gitmo was available.

I think he wants it transferred to whatever planet those "Ridin' Dirty" guys are from
Angels baseball. We do what we must, because we can -- HaloDutch
Man how many tax dollars are going to be wasted on this guy
he asked the police when he got caught if anyone was hurt back at the scene. It couldn’t be any more obvious that he’s guilty.
I just heard on the Channel 9 News at noon that the judge has officially denied
a change of venue for the trial.

DENIED
44fan claims that it is a fact Vlad will get hurt. Here is to your "borrowed time" Vlad. You were, are, and will be the man Vlad.
Damn it.
I can’t believe how angry this still gets me. I get a knot in my throat even to this day.
W6G -- Unless there's a good trade on the table.
I'm surprised the change of venue wasn't granted
Gallo is an idiot not to plead. But I’m not complaining; anything that makes the sentence longer is great with me.
Yeah, but it opens the door for more accusations of police misconduct, procedural errors, etc with the case
I'm not sure there could be a claim of misconduct.
I think the cops handled this one pretty well.
Gallo admitted to the police that he was black-out drunk, didn’t know how he even got to that intersection in Fullerton.
THIS… IS… ANAHEIM!!
Fuck you Gallo..........

You guys do realize
That these type of comments kind of make the defense attorney’s point for the POS, right?
Good thing that (a) the motion has already been denied, and (b) the judge doesn’t read HalosHeaven…otherwise the judge would sadly be giving Gallo exactly what he hopes to achieve through these shenanigans.
Light up that halo! RIP, Nick.
This is hardly a good sampling of a typical Orange County jury...
Wow, everyone on this jury is an Angel fan. Pretty good defense there, Mr. Defense Attorney.
I love this team.

No no wasn't saying that at all
just ironic that all of these comments are what the PD was talking about.
Trust me, I want the assclown locked up for life just as much as everyone else…
Light up that halo! RIP, Nick.
remember quite a number of HH fans are out of state AND out of country
the defense attorney would have to argue to go to an isolated island in the middle of the Pacific to get their desired ignorance level
Bring back HalosHeaven RADIO!!!
True enough.
And good point. Again, I just thought it somewhat ironic/“funny” that news of the PD’s motion to move because of hometown bias were met with comments like “OMGBURNINHELL”…anyway, more a semantic thing than anything else. I think we’re all on the same page as to our feelings in the case anyway. Which, sadly enough, is why I probably cannot serve on that jury, as much as I (badly) want to.
Light up that halo! RIP, Nick.
agreed. I'm in Riverside County. Only thing I can do is drive by his house and yell obscenities
otherwise, I’d play dumb blonde and get on that jury
Bring back HalosHeaven RADIO!!!
