If he’s as good as he looks this year (good enough to be ranked as a top 5 prospect in all of baseball by several people), then he could probably play in a couple years. If the Angels opt to give him a full season at every level so that he can learn to be a leader and get stronger physically, figure 2013 or 2014.

Francisco Rodriquez was FAR more hittable and not striking out guys at nearly the rate Kohn is. For those that say Kohn wouldn’t be used in important situations anyway, Soth is using F-Rod in important situations and it’s pretty clear based on their minor league numbers who the superior pitcher is.

Wilson at least offers fine defense. Mathis, despite the FO propaganda, does not offer that.

I’d be happy to let Conger and Wilson share duties behind the plate and trade Jeff if a GM would take him.

Todays game in a nutshell

The Angels offense got dominated by a pitcher named Chen. Rodriguez should be embarrased everytime he collects a paycheck (the guy just sucks, he can’t handle pressure situations) and Matsui is exactly the D.H. I knew he would be at the beginning of the season. They seriously need to set Matsui for a month to a month and a half and then bring him back right before the post season (if we make it).

Really? You are going to take yourself that seriously? Well I guess someone has to.
