Angels manager Mike Scioscia and GM Tony Reagins insist the club is not “giving up on the season”. Kevin Jepsen, Jordan Walden and Francisco Rodriguez will share 8th inning duties. Fernando Rodney will close.

Of course they aren’t giving up. Fuentes has been an asset lately, so while it may seem that way, and while they did decrease their chances of a comeback by dealing him…. I don’t mind the move. He will cost too much next year. He’s misused (but isn’t every “closer?”). Facing Alex Rodriguez in the ALCS last year was terrible.
Frisbee Golf
I expect the an explosion of Frisbee golf in the twin cities. Maybe some hackey sack and drum circles.

Now imagine a universe where we got Matt Capps instead of Rodney in the offseason, and our manager wisely used Fuentes as a set-up man. One year and $3.5M was all it took to secure Capps.

If I knew, I’d be scouring their DL to see who it is. Hell, it could also be one of the relievers on their major league DL (they have a few).

I’d be willing to wager that it might not be Morneau, Nathan or Slowey. I find that semi-unlikely haha

in my ‘Mystery Bag’ for the Animal Rescue fundraiser a couple of weeks ago.
It was only slightly less disappointing than the previous year, when I got Robb Quinlan’s.
